Adorable Sea Lion Pup Debuts at National Zoo in DC [VIDEO]
Catalina was born in June and is getting out and about for the first time in the public eye.

WASHINGTON, DC — It's been a little more than two months since little female sea lion Catalina entered this world at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and now the public can finally catch a glimpse of one of the zoo's newest arrivals.
Catalina was born June 26 and is the first sea lion pup born at the zoo in 32 years, according to a statement. The zoo has been getting her slowly acclimated to the exhibit by having her explore close to her mother, 11-year-old Calli. Her father is Jetty, an 8-year-old sea lion, who has been active in introducing the new pup to the rest of the colony.
Calli is a California sea lion, a prosperous species that can be found along the west coast of North America ranging from Baja, Mexico, all the way up to Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is classified as a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
