β’ Pepco says power restored after storms knocked out service to more than 76,000 (wusa9.com) β If you lost electricity in Washington, D.C. after last week's severe thunderstorms, Pepco says power has now been restored to virtually all 76,000 affected customers across the District and nearby Maryland counties. Crews spent several days clearing downed trees, repairing damaged lines, and reinforcing the grid, while the utility urges residents to stay clear of any remaining downed wires and report hazards immediately.
