Appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to the District's Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, he now helps shape local industry standards while guiding young people through weekly scout meetings that build confidence and friendships.
   

• Party's over for crypto scammers who went on a spending spree after a $240 million bitcoin theft (investmentwatchblog.com) — A Washington, D.C. resident was the victim of one of the largest cryptocurrency thefts in U.S. history, losing more than $240 million in bitcoin to a group of young scammers. Federal investigators say the suspects used social engineering to seize the funds, then flaunted their haul on luxury cars, jets, and mansions before the FBI arrested alleged ringleader Malone Lam, who now faces a plea hearing.
