Aretha Franklin's Incredible Kennedy Center Moment

With the passing of the "Queen of Soul," it's time to remember one iconic moment she had here in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The world is in mourning after one of the most legendary performers of all time, Aretha Franklin, passed away at the age of 76 this week. And as we memorialize the "Queen of Soul," it's a good time to remember her moments in D.C., including that time she came to the Kennedy Center and brought the President of the United States to tears.

Video of Franklin's unforgettable 2015 performance at the Kennedy Center Honors, embedded below, shows President Obama wiping away tears as she performs "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

Franklin and Obama's relationship certainly goes back before that. She sang, "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at Obama's first inauguration in 2009.
