Armed Assault Suspect Sought In Georgia Avenue Attack: Video
Metropolitan Police Department detectives are seeking a suspect in an armed assault that took place Jan. 30 on Georgia Avenue.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Homicide branch are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred Jan. 30, in Brightwood, according to a police release.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, around 7:16 p.m., officers from the Fourth District responded to the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue, N.W., for the report of the sound of gunshots. Arriving on the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for life threatening injuries.
