Arrest Made In Homicide Of DC Woman Missing Since 2010

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department have charged a Southeast man with second degree murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Unique Harris of Southeast, according to a police release. Harris has been missing since 2010.

Harris was first reported missing from her home in the 2400 block of Hartford Street, Southeast, on Oct. 10, 2010. MPD opened a missing person's investigation but were unable to determine Harris' whereabouts.

On Oct. 24, 2018, D.C. Superior Court granted a petition for presumption of death of a missing person, and a death certificate was issued.

Upon further investigation, detectives identified Isaac Moye, 43, of Southeast as a suspect in the case. Acting on a D.C. Superior arrest warrant Saturday, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Moye and charged him with second degree murder while armed. This case remains under investigation.

Police released details of Moye's arrest record, including charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, fugitive from justice, simple assault, and distribution of narcotics.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
