Assault With Intent To Kill Charge Against Capitol Heights Man
D.C. homicide detectives arrested a Capitol Heights man in connection with a shooting that took place Monday on Benning Road Southeast.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Capitol Heights man in connection with a shooting that occurred Monday on Benning Road Southeast, according to a police release.
On Monday, March 9, around approximately 11:47 a.m., officers from the Sixth District responded to the 5000 block of Benning Road, S.E., for the report of gunshots. Arriving on the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries.
Later that same day, detectives arrested Jarvis Burl, 19, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, and charged him with assault with intent to kill while armed (gun).
