ATF Seeks Suspect In AFL-CIO Headquarters Fire: Police

D.C. Police and ATF are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with the May 31 fire at AFL-CIO headquarters.

WASHINGTON, DC — The ATF/DC Arson and the Metropolitan Police Department's Explosives Task Force are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in the May 31 break-in and fire in the AFL-CIO Building, according to a police release. Two suspects included in an earlier release have be apprehended.

Around 10:15 p.m., more than two dozen people vandalized and burglarized the AFL-CIO headquarters, located at 815 16th St., N.W. They later set fire to the front lobby, causing approximately $1 million in damages to the structure.

A reward of up to $15,000 is being offered for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
