Barbershop Shooting Suspects Captured On Video: Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Sixth District are asking the public's help in identifying three suspects captured on video in reference to the March 6 shooting at Snap's Barbershop in Northeast, according to police release.

On Friday, March 6, around 6:12 p.m., officers from the Sixth District responded to the report of a shooting at Snap's Barbershop, located at 6219 Dix St., N.E. Arriving on the scene, officers found four adult males suffering from non-life threatening wounds. A short time later, the Prince George's County Fire Department reported that a woman and 5-year-old boy had sought treatment at a fire station for non-threatening injuries. All of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals to receive medical treatment.

Snap's Barbershop is located in the city's Northeast Boundary neighborhood. MPD Chief Peter Newsham confirmed during a March 6 briefing that the business is where a similar shooting happened in August 2018. That shooting left one person dead, FOX 5 reported.

On Saturday, March 7, police asked the public's help in identifying a silver van they considered a vehicle of interest in the case. MPD has since recovered the vehicle.

On Thursday, MPD released a video of the suspects, who were captured by a surveillance camera. MPD posted the video to its official YouTube page.
