This Is The Best Italian Restaurant In DC: Report
The Daily Meal chose the top Italian restaurants in every state. Here's which eatery they chose for D.C.
WASHINGTON, DC -- The Daily Meal has released a rankings list of the best Italian restaurants in each of the 50 states and the District, and the winner for D.C. is no surprise.
Upscale Penn Quarter restaurant Fiola is certainly well-known to fans of D.C. fine dining. The Daily Meal notes that Chef Fabio Trabocci and his restaurant have won "too many awards to mention here," including a Michelin star last year.
"[T]he reason is obvious: Just look at the menu, which changes daily based on what’s fresh and in-season," the report states. "Sample menu items include beef cheek tortellini with bone marrow agrodolce, black garlic, and brodo; spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino with Santa Barbara abalone, razor clams, and ‘nduja; and Canary Island branzino with prosecco zabaglione, leeks, and oscetra caviar."
