Woman's Body Found In Northeast DC, May Belong To Missing Person
Police are investigating a death on 34th Street Tuesday morning.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A body has been found in Northeast D.C. that appears to belong to that of a woman who went missing around Thanksgiving.
Fox 5 reported that police began conducting a death investigation in the 300 block of 34th Street in Northeast just before 9 a.m.. D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham was on the scene.

UPDATE 11:29 a.m.: The body may belong to a 53-year-old woman who went missing the day after Thanksgiving, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham told reporters. "We're looking at this as a very suspicious death," Newsham said. He denied that the body was in a dumpster, saying there was no dumpster where the body was found.
