Boy, 15, Fatally Shot Monday Night In Columbia Heights: Police
D.C. homicide detectives are searching for the person responsible for fatally shooting 15-year-old Malachi Jackson on Monday night.
WASHINGTON, DC — Malachi Jackson, 15, of Northwest was fatally shot Monday night in Columbia Heights, according to a police release.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District found Jackson suffering from gunshot wounds around 10:50 p.m. They had responded around 10:50 p.m. to the 3000 block of 13th Street, Northwest for the report of a shooting.
D.C. Fire and EMS personnel examined Jackson and determined that he had died. His body was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
Anyone with information about Jackson's fatal shooting is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the department's text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
