Buena Vista Fatal Shooting Under Investigation: DC Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday night in the Buena Vista area, according to a police report.

Officers from the Seventh District found a man suffering from a gunshot wound around 11:44 p.m., in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, S.E. D.C. Fire and EMS determined the man had died and transported him later to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police identified the decedent as Kevin Eaton, 38, of Northeast.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
