Bus Driver Crashes Into Pole After Hearing Gunshots In Southeast DC
A Metrobus driver ran into a pole and was transported to a local hospital after he heard gunshots in Southeast Washington.

WASHINGTON, DC — A Metrobus driver ran into a pole after hearing gunshots in Southeast Washington Tuesday night, Metro officials said.
Police said the incident occurred near Minnesota Avenue and 16th Street SE at about 9 p.m. The driver was operating a V2 bus with eight passengers on board when he was startled by the sound and crashed into a pole.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. None of the passengers were injured.
