Bystanders Lift Car Off Pinned Pedestrians In Downtown DC (Video)
Four pedestrians were seriously injured and taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Hero bystanders leaped into action after a car plowed into pedestrians following a collision in downtown D.C. Tuesday afternoon, leaving four people seriously injured. You can watch the dramatic video embedded at the bottom of this article.
D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted just before 3 p.m. that there had been a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of 9th Street and New York Avenue NW. One of the vehicles apparently ran onto the sidewalk, striking and pinning multiple pedestrians.
Medics transported four pedestrians with serious injuries to area hospitals. The occupants of the vehicles were not injured.
