Bank of America will host a free Scaminar, an interactive seminar designed to help consumers stay one step ahead of scammers and better protect themselves from fraud. As fraud schemes become increasingly sophisticated, the event will provide practical guidance, real-world examples and expert insights to help attendees identify threats and take action.
Bank of America is hosting Financial Protection and Scam Awareness seminars across the country, including in Greater Washington, DC. These sessions are designed to empower you with knowledge and confidence—before you click, share, or send money.
The free event is open to Bank of America clients and members of the public and will cover:
- Common fraud tactics and warning signs consumers should know
- Emerging scams targeting individuals, families and businesses
- Steps financial institutions take to help safeguard clients
- Tools, resources and best practices to help prevent fraud
- What to do and where to turn if you believe you've been scammed
