Woodley House’s Movie Benefit is one of the D.C. region’s most unique and impactful annual benefits -- a fundraising event that's actually fun! And it supports dignified housing and critical services for individuals facing mental health disorders and the risk of chronic homelessness.
This November, we expect more than 300 guests to join us at AFI Silver Theatre & Cultural Center to celebrate 30 years of Movie Benefits. In addition to enjoying an exclusive screening of the acclaimed new film TONY (plus a full spread of movie theater treats), you'll hear updates about Woodley House's critical work in the DC community.
CNN Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash returns as our event emcee, along with some special guests this year. VIP guests are invited to join our pre-screening reception at J. Hollinger's Waterman's Chophouse in Silver Spring, starting at 5:00 p.m.
Based on the early chapters of Anthony Bourdain’s memoir “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” TONY (A24 Films) has been called “splendid” by the New York Times and “the most heartwarming comedy of the year” by the Los Angeles Times.
