Ring in 2027 at Teddy &amp; The Bully Bar, the Dupont Circle bar and restaurant two blocks from the red line. There are no tickets and no cover. Come for dinner, grab a spot a t the bar, and stay for midnight. We're open from 6PM - 1230AM on Thursday, December 31. Our DJ takes over at 9PM and plays through to midnight. From 10 to 11PM, order any craft or signature cocktail and enjoy complimentary food and desserts on us. At midnight we'll count down with the ball drop and pour a complimentary champagne toast for everyone 21 and over. New Years Eve party | Teddy & The Bully Bar, Dupont Circle

Sensory Friendly Morning is designed for families with neurodivergent children or teenagers to explore the museum at a quieter, less-crowded time. The recommended age for this experience is 10 and up, but all are welcome. The experience is self-guided, and guests can choose to participate in additional activities; some exhibit elements will be adapted to accommodate sensitivities to light and sound.
All guests are invited to participate in the Halloween theme with optional, not-scary costumes and trick-or-treating around the galleries for fun fidgets, bookmarks, and mini-books.
Prior to the event, registered guests will receive pre-visit materials (including a social narrative and sensory map). 🚨&nbsp;Please help save dogs today by applying to adopt or foster! An ongoing overcrowding crisis at PG&nbsp;County Animal Shelter resulted in a devastating loss of 16 dogs euthanized for space two weeks ago today! More adoptable dogs were euthanized since then!&nbsp;There&nbsp;was no urgent list notice for transparency to rescue partners and community members! Now, there is a new urgent list to provide them a chance and have time to help save them.
📢&nbsp;&nbsp;Community members -&nbsp;Adopters and fosters are needed today for 17 dogs on this urgent list!&nbsp;Please go meet and adopt them or apply to foster them.&nbsp;These dogs are at risk of being euthanized on Wednesday only due to space. Scroll to more photos and links to view them. They are over capacity with dogs and need space for more dogs coming in.Update:&nbsp;As of 10/22 am, 16 dogs need adopters and fosters. 🐶 Prospective fosters: Fosters through the shelter and rescues are needed for dogs. Please apply with rescue partners, or contact the shelter&nbsp;to be a foster and save a life. The Friends of PG County Animal Shelter posts about dogs which need fosters through the shelter or otherwise through rescues. Fostering is usually free with a rescue.
Please review the shelter foster information, apply online and complete Pet Parenting Certification. Contact the shelter with the dog's name and ID. Come out and wordplay! You're invited to watch or compete in Pun DMV, our pun contest. The night is hosted by Dana Fleitman, and for Halloween we have a special extra event:
The Costume Contest: Come to the show in your best punny costume. (As in, "cereal killer.") The audience's favorite costume will win a cash prize! To participate, buy a "costume contest" ticket. Costume contest tickets are also good for admission.
The Freestyle: <a href="https://forms.gle/LkDZhwsteC7mN9Lh8" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Interested in participating in the October 27 Freestyle event? Complete the Google form at this link.</a> Each competitor chooses a punning theme, then prepares in advance a three-minute speech packed with puns inspired by that theme. On the night of the show, the competitors deliver their speeches on stage. The audience favorite wins!
The Tournament: An on-the-spot punning tournament featuring up to 20 people. At the start of each match, contestants are given a theme. They then take turns making up puns on the spot. People are eliminated when they're stumped. The last person standing moves on to the next round (or victory). Anyone in attendance can compete, and you can sign up on site when you arrive. 
The winners get cash prizes from the Improv (and eternal glory)!

Celebrate the season with free fall fun in the heart of Downtown DC! The annual Fall Festival on Woodrow Wilson Plaza returns October 28 with festive entertainment, hands-on activities and seasonal treats for all ages.
Enjoy pumpkin decorating, a hay bale maze, face painting, balloon twisting, stilt walkers and live DJ music. The National Children’s Museum will bring its interactive Pumpkin Catapults activity, while community partners offer additional creative fun for kids and families.
Sip complimentary hot cider and explore seasonal bites and global flavors from Capital Harvest on the Plaza (CHoP) as the outdoor market celebrates its final day of the season.
