Capital Trans Pride Descending on DC Soon
As the transgender political battle heats up, trans people will be meeting up in Washington later this month.

At a time when the fight over transgender people using public restrooms has reached an ugly crescendo, the Capital Trans Pride event will be returning to D.C. later this month to a charged political atmosphere.
North Carolina's infamous bathroom bill, requiring people to use the public restroom that corresponds to the gender of their birth, has sparked a legal fight with the federal government, and everyone in the country seems to have an opinion on the issue. Capital Trans Pride returns May 21 for its eighth annual appearance in Washington, and their presence is certain to get people talking.
The event is organized by the Capital Pride Alliance. The organization also organizes Capital Pride, which takes place June 1-2.
