Caps Players Get Emotional After Seeing Huge DC Crowd

Oshie, Wilson, and Carlson in particular had incredulous reactions to the experience.

WASHINGTON, DC -- It was quite a day in the nation's capital on Tuesday as the Mall was bathed in a sea of red for the 2018 Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals victory parade. And it was a big deal not just for the fans, but also for the players.

Several Caps were clearly blown away by the fans in attendance, numbering many tens of thousands along the parade route and in front of the event stage.

A visibly emotional T.J. Oshie was overwhelmed by the huge crowd on the National Mall decked out in red. He posted video acknowledging the fans on Twitter.
