Child Sex Abuse Suspect Arrested In Mayfair Incident: Police
D.C. Police arrested a suspect in connection with a child sex abuse incident that occurred May 27 in the Mayfair neighborhood.
WASHINGTON, DC —Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Youth and Family Services Division, Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch arrested a suspect in connection with a child sex abuse incident that occurred May 27 in the Mayfair neighborhood, according to a police release.
Around 4:45 a.m., the suspect forcibly committed a sexual act against the victim in the 3600 block of Hayes St., N.E., and took the victim's belongings.
Police arrested Devon Young Jr., 18, of no fixed address, and charged him with first-degree child sexual abuse and second-degree theft. Young was also charged with the unrelated charges of carrying a pistol without a license and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
