Clinton Man Dies In Friday Night Shooting In Southeast
D.C. Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured in the Shipley neighborhood.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Friday night in the Shipley neighborhood, according to a police release.
Officers from the Seventh District responded around 6:50 p.m., to the report of a shooting in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, S.E. When they arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and the victim was pronounced dead. Officers also located a young male victim at a local hospital receiving treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
MPD identified the decedent as David Deandre Young, 28, of Clinton, Maryland.
