Could Hurricane Jose Hit DC?
Early forecasts of Jose show a range of possibilities, including landfall in the United States.

WASHINGTON, DC — As Irma spins apart over the Southeast, all eyes turn to Hurricane Jose, which is not far behind in the Atlantic.
Most models at this point have the storm churning in its current location for a little bit before heading a bit further toward the U.S. and then spinning out east over open ocean. But as we all know, hurricanes can be unpredictable.
A few models have some rather unpleasant scenarios for the East Coast of the United States, including the D.C. area. A few have it crashing into the Carolinas, another has it veering for New York, and yet another path shows it moving toward the Chesapeake Bay and then taking a sharp westward turn toward D.C.

It'll be days before we have any idea if that's going to happen, but keep an eye on Jose -- there's a lot left to happen with the storm.

Both #Irma and #Jose weakened this morning, but Jose still a hurricane. Most models don't impact United States, but we'll keep an eye on it. pic.twitter.com/CWc48qIAVP
