D.C. Housing Group Gets $6K Grant From Title Insurance Charity
The charitable arm of the American Land Title Association has awarded $6,000 to Grace in Action, a D.C. nonprofit focused on housing.
WASHINGTON, DC — The charitable arm of the American Land Title Association awarded a $6,000 grant to Grace in Action, a nonprofit group that works to help people find housing in Southeast D.C.
Grace in Action was nominated by KVS Title in Washington, D.C., to receive the funding because of the organization’s efforts to provide housing for D.C. residents.
Grace in Action is one of 21 nonprofit groups across the U.S. that received a grant this month from the American Land Title Association Good Deeds Foundation, which was founded in 2020.

“We are honored to be the recipient of this grant from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation,” Margo Collins, board chairperson for Grace in Action, said in a statement Tuesday. “Our organization believes that housing as a first step toward rebuilding security, safety and dignity, and this grant will help deliver its first home to a formerly unhoused family.”
The American Land Title Association is the national trade association for the land title insurance industry, which employs more than 120,000 people across the United States.

“Title insurance professionals have not only worked to protect their customers during the pandemic, but they have also dedicated their time and efforts to ensuring their communities are strengthened through charitable acts like donations of PPE, food and other services,” American Land Title Association CEO Diane Tomb said.
