DC Boy, 17, Charged As Adult In Fatal Shooting: Police Report
Homicide detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the Oct. 1 fatal shooting of Arthur Daniels IV.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of 42-year-old Arthur Daniels IV in the Shaw neighborhood, according to a police report.
Officers from the Fourth District responded around 4:35 p.m., on Oct. 1 to the 6200 block of 8th Street, Northwest, for the report of a shooting. They found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital, but all lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead. Police identified the deceased victim as Arthur Daniels IV, 42, of Northwest.
On Friday, MPD arrested Deon Walters, 17 of Northwest, and charged as an adult with first degree murder while armed.
