DC Councilman Has Crazy Conspiracy Theory About Snow: Report
D.C. Councilmember Trayon White Sr. was slammed after posting what some call an anti-Semitic video to his Facebook page.

WASHINGTON, DC -- D.C. Councilmember Trayon White Sr. (Ward 8) apparently has some very strange, and what many would say very anti-Semitic, views about what caused some recent (brief) snowfall in the D.C. area.
A short video of snow flurries descending on the District Friday morning was posted to White's account, and in the video White can be heard saying the following, according to the Washington Post: "Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation. And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful."
Who are the Rothschilds? Essentially, they are a business dynasty stretching back to a Jewish banker who lived in Germany in the 18th century. They have been the subject of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories alleging that the Jews can control all sorts of things, including the weather.

The local Jewish community slammed White for his comments, but White reportedly told the Post via text message that he didn't understand what was anti-Semitic about his comments. Later, however, he sent the Post an apology.
The video posted to Facebook appears to have been taken down, but people commenting on his other posts are taking him to task over his reported remarks.

"You've lost any and all credibility. Just resign now and save us all the drama of you trying to walk back the fact that you're hateful person," wrote Dean Sharp.
Added Carissa Ann: "I'm so disappointed in you. You've been given the unique privilege of a public forum and position to influence change for the good. And you instead perpetuate an hateful message."
