DC Improv Festival Coming To The Reach At The Kennedy Center

The 8th Annual District Improv Festival will be held at The Reach at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts on Sunday, Sept. 19.

WASHINGTON, DC — The 8th Annual District Improv Festival will be held at The Reach at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts on Sunday, Sept. 19. This year’s event will be a one-day festival on an outdoor stage.

“We were devastated when we had to cancel the festival in 2020 due to the pandemic,” District Improv Co-Chair Margaret Lee said in a statement. “When we began exploring the feasibility of a 2021 festival and found an outdoor venue that would prioritize the safety and well-being of our audience and performers, we jumped at the opportunity.”

District Improv is requesting audience members be vaccinated and will be following the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ COVID-19 policies. Chairs will be spaced in groups of six to encourage social distancing.
