DC Man, 29, Dies After Being Shot Tuesday In Southeast: Police

D.C. homicide detectives are looking for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of 29-year-old William Venison of Southeast.

WASHINGTON, DC — William Venison, 29, of Southeast died from gunshot wounds he received Tuesday afternoon in the 2800 block of Gainesville Street, Southeast, according to a police release.

Officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department found Venison around 12:38 p.m., after responding for the report of a shooting in the area.

Venison was suffering from gunshots wounds and was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he later died from his injuries.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
