DC Man Arrested For Fatal Stabbing: Police

A 26-year-old DC man was charged with second degree murder after allegedly stabbing a 53-year-old DC man to death Monday, police said.

WASHINGTON, DC — A 26-year-old DC man was charged with second degree murder after allegedly killing a 53-year-old DC man Monday, police said.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., police were called to the 1200 block of Stevens Road, SE., for the report of an unconscious male inside of a residence.

Upon arrival on the scene, officers located an adult male who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire & EMS personnel were called to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until he was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said.

The decedent has been identified as David Blakeney, of SE., DC.

On Tuesday, April 25, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested 26-year-old David Blakeney, Jr., of SE., DC. He was charged with Second Degree Murder, police said.
