DC Man Gets 42 Months for SunTrust Bank Robbery
Francis Davis warned the teller that "somebody is gonna' get hurt."
A D.C. man will spend 42 months in prison for robbing a bank last year in Southeast Washington.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia sentenced 69-year-old Francis Davis on May 24 for the robbery of a SunTrust bank in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE on Nov. 9, 2015, according to a U.S. Department of Justice statement.
Davis walked into the rear door of the bank and up to the teller station, passing the teller a note demanding money. The teller paused after reading the note, prompting Davis to state: "Quit stalling ... somebody is gonna' get hurt," according to the statement.
