DC Parents Charged With Christmas Day Murder of Infant
Parents of a deceased seven-week-old girl were charged with murder after it was determined the baby died from malnutrition.
WASHINGTON, DC — Parents of a baby girl who died on Christmas Day were arrested and charged with murder Friday, WTOP reports.
Trischelle Jabore, 26, and Jay Crowder, 33, called 911 reporting that their 7-week-old child was having a medical incident Dec. 25, 2016. When paramedics arrived to their Southeast apartment, the child, Trinity Jabore, was found unresponsive, police said.
Paramedics brought Trinity to the hospital where attempts to save her failed.

Over three months later, a medical examiner ruled Trinity died from malnutrition, low sodium levels and blunt force trauma to the abdomen, investigators said. A warrant was issued for the arrests of the parents Friday, and both were taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
