DC Police Collecting Shoes Of All Sizes To Offer Homeless, Underserved Residents

The Metropolitan Police Department is accepting clean and gently used shoes of all sizes as part of its Shoes for the City drive.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department is accepting clean and gently used shoes of all sizes as part of its Shoes for the City drive.

Residents can drop off the used the shoes at the 7th District Station through Oct. 7 and the Police Academy on Oct. 8. The drop-off times are 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 7th District Station is at 2455 Alabama Ave SE. The Police Academy is at 4665 Blue Plains Dr SW.

The shoes will be offered to unhoused and underserved residents of the city.
