Attack With Hammer Case In NOMA Leads To Arrest: DC Police

Metropolitan Police Detectives arrested a man suspected of assaulting two victims with a hammer in NOMA on Feb. 3.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Fifth District arrested a suspect in an assault with a dangerous weapon offense that occurred Monday in NOMA, according to a police release.

On Feb. 3, at about 6:04 p.m., two victims and the suspect were arguing in the 100 block of M Street, N.E. The suspect used a hammer to assault the two victims before fleeing the scene, authorities said.

MPD detectives arrested Duane Dvio Allen, 48, of no fixed address, on Feb. 3, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon.
