DC Police Arrest Suspect in February 2019 Anacostia Shooting

Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a February 2019 shooting that occurred in Anacostia.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in a February 2019 shooting in Anacostia, according to a police report.

On Saturday, Feb. 9. 2019, at about 10:20 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the report of the sound of gunshots in the 2300 block of Green Street, S.E. Arriving on the scene, they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, police officers, acting on a D.C. Superior Court custody order, arrested and charged an 18-year-old Southeast man with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun).
