DC Police Arrest Suspect In November Shooting Near Metro Station
Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in the November 2019 shooting of a woman near the Benning Road Metro Station.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of a woman that took place in November near the Benning Road Metrorail Station, according to a police report.
On Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, around 8:41 p.m., officers from the Sixth District responded to the 4500 block Benning Road, S.E., for the report of a shooting. Arriving on the scene, officers found an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Acting on a D.C. Court arrest warrant, MPD detectives arrested Jamonte Jeter, 21, of Northwest, on Monday, Feb. 3, and charged him with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
