DC Police Charge Suspect In Civic Betterment Area Stabbing
DC Police detectives arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a stabbing that took place in the Civic Betterment area.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Sixth District arrested a D.C. man Tuesday, charging him in connection with a stabbing in the Civic Betterment area, according to a police release.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, around 4:45 p.m., the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal disagreement in the 5100 block of Fitch Street, S.E. After producing a knife, the suspect stabbed the victim and then fled the scene.
Following an investigation, MPD arrested Keyonna Thomas, 28, of Southeast, and charged him with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
