DC Police Detectives Arrest Suspects In 6 Recent Robberies
Metropolitan Police detectives announced the arrest of six suspects in connection with six separate robberies that extend back to 2017.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday, Dec. 28, reported the arrest of several suspects in connection with six separate robberies, according to a police release.
The arrests included:
- Maurice Smith, 39, of no fixed address, was charged with a Robbery (Snatch) offense for an incident that occurred Thursday, Dec. 12, at approximately 12:11 p.m., in the 5400 block of Macarthur Boulevard, Northwest. He was arrested on Friday, Dec. 13.
- Daniel Burns, 18, of Southeast, D.C., was arrested on Dec. 20, in connection with an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that took place on Monday, July 8, in the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.
- Detectives arrested Dominick Paris, 35, of Southeast, D.C., in connection with a Dec 25 Robbery offense in the 3600 block of George Avenue, Northwest.
- Joshua Austin, 32, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 26, in connection to an Oct. 30, Robbery (Force and Violence) offense in the 5900 block of 13th Street, Northwest.
- A 17-year-old juvenile male of Northeast, D.C., was arrested for a Robbery while Armed offense that took place Dec. 24, in the 1900 block of Newton Street, Northeast.
- Damond Brown, 20, of Northeast, D.C. was charged on Friday, Dec. 27, in connection with an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that took place on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, in the 300 block of Franklin Street, Northeast.
