DC Police Investigate Randle Heights Homicide

Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Vincent Gyamfi of Southeast​ Friday in the Randle Highlands.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday in the Randle Highlands, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as 26-year-old Vincent Gyamfi of Southeast.

Around 4:09 p.m., officers from the Sixth District responded to the 1700 block of 29th Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting. Arriving on the scene, they found Gyamfi suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS determined that Gyamfi had died and pronounced him dead. They later transported him to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
