Trump Supporter's Hair Catches Fire; DC Police Investigate
Police are looking into an incident on Inauguration Day that has angered many conservative news outlets.
WASHINGTON, DC — Conservative news outlets are furious after video emerged of a Donald Trump supporter having her hair set on fire briefly by a protester on Inauguration Day in D.C., and the Metropolitan Police Department is apparently investigating the incident.
In the video, Trump supporters and protesters can be seen confronting each other in the middle of a large group gathered somewhere on the National Mall on Jan. 20. As the protesters chant slogans like "This is what democracy looks like" and "Love trumps hate," Trump supporters take pictures of themselves smiling and giving the thumbs-up in front of the protesters.
When one woman in a Trump hat does it, her hair suddenly catches fire, as you can see in the video below.

When the video is slowed down and zoomed in, you can see someone who is obscured by the crowd reaching a lighter toward the woman's hair as she poses.
D.C. police have filed a report on the incident, which states that it happened at the National Archives at 700 Pennsylvania Ave. NW sometime between 2 and 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 20.

Police are investigating the incident as a simple assault.
The report states only that the victim noticed her hair had been set on fire and the incident had been captured on video. The woman was not injured.
