DC Police Seek Help Identifying Man In Christmas Eve Robbery

Metropolitan Police detectives are looking for a man they say snatched an undisclosed amount of money from a victim on Christmas Eve.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Sixth District are asking the public to help them identify a suspect they say robbed an individual of money on Christmas Eve, according to a police report.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, around 3:12 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Ave., S.E. He then snatched U.S. currency from the victim and fled the scene. A nearby surveillance camera captured photos of the suspect, the report said.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the individual in the photos or has knowledge of the robbery call them at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. Crimesolvers of Washington, D.C., is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to individuals who provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of someone responsible for a crime committed in D.C.
