DC Police Seek Identity of Purse Snatcher: Photos

WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in two recent robberies that took place in the Northwest D.C., according to a police release.

The first robbery took place Tuesday, Dec. 24, at around 4 p.m., in the 4300 block of Yuma Street, N.W. The suspect grabbed the victim's purse, took money from her wallet, tossed the purse the ground, and fled the scene.

The second robbery took place Tuesday, Dec. 31, at about 6:42 p.m., in the 3900 block of Jenifer Street, N.W. The suspect grabbed the purse from a woman and left the scene.

The suspect's image was captured on surveillance cameras.
