DC Police Seize Huge Amount Of Illegal Fireworks (Photos)
Based on the incredible fireworks show exploding all over D.C. Tuesday night, they didn't get them all, but did collect more than 3,000.

WASHINGTON, DC — If you were watching the skyline all around D.C. throughout Tuesday night, you could tell that illegal fireworks are alive and well in the District. However, D.C. police definitely made a dent in the fireworks market, confiscating a huge haul that they posted pictures of on Twitter.
D.C. police recovered a staggering 3,093 pieces of fireworks on the 4th of July, and the department highlighted four officers who did much of the work despite not even being on fireworks detail.
In addition, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham tweeted pictures of recovered fireworks that were being sold to children in the 600 block of Jefferson Street NW.
