DC Police Seize Huge Amount Of Marijuana

Police raided a local establishment, making 22 arrests.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Pot may have been legalized in the District, but there are still limits.

You may only possess no more than two ounces of marijuana in D.C., and a local establishment was well over that limit, the D.C. Police Department said in a tweet.

"This definitely looks like more than the legal amount to us!" they wrote. "Due to ongoing drug complaints at a local establishment, MPD made 22 arrests and seized a mass amount of marijuana and THC products."

The tweet earned plenty of responses, most of which were negative.

"You call that mass amount?" wrote M. Gekko. "More money will be spent on putting those arrested through the criminal justice system than all of that is worth. Huge waste of tax payer dollars and of police officers valuable time."

"When someone calls and complains about pot, maybe just hang up the phone," added Christina.
