DC Ramen Restaurant One Of The Best In The USA: Report

Thrillist ranked Daikaya as one of the 24 best places to get ramen in the country.

WASHINGTON, DC -- If you've got a hankering for some ramen, you can't do much better than Daikaya in D.C., according to a new report.

Thrillist ranked the 24 best spots to get ramen in the nation, and Daikaya -- located at 705 6th Street NW in downtown -- made the list.

The report notes that Daikaya translates to "house of big cooking pot," a phrase that "pretty much sums up the vibe" of the restaurant.

"The place has zero frills. Its 40-seat interior is barren, and is a little stark, design-wise," it continues. "But who cares? You are here for the food. And food is what you shall find here -- along with hordes of crowds fighting for said food."

The report in particular praises the light broth that contrasts with the thicker ramen.
