DC Restaurants Participate In Metro DC BBQ Week
It's Metro DC BBQ Week, so Patch put together a guide so you can get satisfy all your meaty cravings.

WASHINGTON, DC — There's nothing that says summer more than barbecue, but this week in particular is a must for barbecue lovers. The Metropolitan Washington BBQ & Grilling Week runs June 19-25, and DC residents are encouraged to get in on the fun.
Over 25 restaurants in the DC area will offer specials during the week. Some businesses will offer “Flavors of Summer in the City” foods for $11, $22 or $33. Participating DC restaurants include: Burger, Tap & Shake, Cafe Saint-Ex, Charlie Palmer Steak, Martin's Tavern, The Pig, Right Proper Brewpub, Rocklands Barbecue and Grilling Company and more.
Hosted by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, the event concludes throughout the weekend with the 25th Annual Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle on June 24-25 at Pennsylvania Avenue NW in DC. The event has won numerous awards, such as a "Top 10 BBQ Event" by The Travel Channel and "One of Five Can't Miss Summer Festivals in the Country" by CNN.

Top barbecue chefs from around the country will compete to become the National Barbecue Champion, while all can enjoy food samples, attractions like the Big Taste "World's Largest" Grill, eating contests, over 30 live performances and more. Tickets are available online or at the event.
