DC's Craziest Rent: $1.4K For 'Ridiculous, Absurd' Tiny Home On Capitol Hill
Talk about cozy: this 252-square-foot home on Capitol Hill doesn't have a lot of wiggle room, but the price is right.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Living on Capitol Hill is expensive, unless you're willing to live in a 252-square-foot home.
Even then, you're still going to shell out $1,400 per month to live in a space that is just 9.5 feet wide and 28 feet long -- but considering the tiny homes trend sweeping the nation, there's probably going to be someone willing to pay that rent.
According the Craigslist listing, the space is "THE SMALLEST, TINIEST, DINKIEST, MOST RIDICULOUS, ABSURD, MINI-DEMI-PSEUDO-SILLYHOUSE IN WASHINGTON." A video tour of the home, embedded below, plays "It's A Small World After All" in the background.

The structure was built in 1920 and used to be a shop, according to a 2009 Washington Post report. It's got plenty of necessary amenities, however, including a bathroom, kitchen, fridge, washer and dryer, and even a backyard and security system. No pets, though.
Interested renters: you'll need to sign a 12-month lease and it will be available Nov. 1. Your rent will include water/sewer and yard service, but you'll have to mow the lawn. Security deposit will be one month's rent, and there will be a $30 application fee.
