Death Of 2-Year-Old Boy In Burrville Ruled Homicide
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a 2-year-old boy in Burrville to be a homicide.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy in the Burrville neighborhood that has been ruled a homicide by D.C.'s chief medical examiner, according to a police release.
On Wednesday, at around 8:25 a.m., officers from the Sixth District were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Division Avenue, N.E., for the report of an unconscious person. At the scene they found D.C. Fire and EMS personnel conducting life-saving efforts on an unconscious child. Those efforts failed and the child's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Police identified the child as Gabriel Eason, 2, of Northeast.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and determined the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
