D.C. Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect they say destroyed a police car on May 31 near the White House.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Second District are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect they say damaged a MPD police vehicle, according to a police release. The incident occurred May 31 near the White House.

The suspect destroyed an MPD police vehicle between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., in the 1500 block of H Street, N.W., according to police. The suspect then fled the scene. MPD released images of the suspect that were capture by a camera.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or has knowledge of the incident is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to the MPD's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
