Donald Trump's New DC Hotel Will Let You Drink Wine With a Spoon: Report

As Trump battles for the White House, his new hotel is opening just a few doors down the street.

WASHINGTON, DC — Donald Trump may be focused on trying to win a presidential election, but he remains a businessman and hotelier. A new hotel he's opening up just a few blocks from the White House he hopes to soon occupy has some very Trump-esque quirks — including a wine tasting using a crystal spoon, reportedly.

Opening in September, the Trump International Hotel will be located in the Old Post Office building in Federal Triangle. Based on a report from the Washingtonian, it appears to have some of the ultra-luxury quirks that Trump prides himself in.

The property will have a BLT Prime and the OPO Bar & Lounge. You can expect luxury in dining and cocktails at either of those outlets, but it's the hotel's offering of a high-end wine tasting via a spoon that amazed the Washingtonian, which called it a "presentation technique we've never before encountered."

The hotel, which will have 263 rooms, is located at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW and will open Sept. 12.

"For decades people have looked in wonderment at the magnificence of the Old Post Office building and structure," Trump said in a February statement. "There is nothing like it and we are so proud to have not only brought this incredible building back to life, but also to a position far greater than it ever was at its previous zenith."

There is some concern about what will happen with Trump's real estate holdings should he win the presidency this November. Trump has suggested he would put his business interests in the hands of his children, although many argue that ethical conflicts would be unavoidable and he would still have direct influence on the business.

Of course, Trump currently trails Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the polls with a little more than two months to go, so this problem is looking less and less likely to crop up.
