'Dateline NBC' To Air Story About Investigation Into Disappearance Of 2 DC-Area Women

WASHINGTON, DC — Pamela Butler, a federal worker from Washington, D.C., disappeared just before Valentine's Day in 2009.

Dateline NBC will be airing reporter Dennis Murphy's story, ‘A Haunting Stretch of Road," this Friday, at 9 p.m.. The story covers Butler's disappearance and its connection to the disappearance of Marta Rodriquez of Arlington in 1989.

Murphy documents the dogged investigation that linked the discovery of Rodriquez's remains in 1991 on a stretch of Interstate 95 in Stafford County to the man responsible for both of the women's deaths.

Murphy interviews family members of Butler and Rodriquez, as well as Mitch Credle and Peter Newsham, a former homicide detective and the chief of police, respectively, from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C.
